Dr. Melissa Huang
A lifelong eastern suburbs resident, Melissa attended Glen Waverley Secondary College and completed her dental degree at the University of Melbourne, where she graduated as one of the top students in her class. Melissa graduated with honours and received the Tuckfield and Shepherd Prize for the highest achievement in prosthodontics. Melissa has practiced for a number of years in the Mornington Peninsula, in Camberwell and at the prestigious Paris end of Collins St, before relocating her dental practice to Blackburn.
Melissa enjoys all aspects of general practice and has a particular interest in Periodontics (gum disease treatment), Endodontics (root canal treatment), Implant Dentistry and Pediatrics. She prides herself on being a gentle and caring dentist and has helped many people overcome their dental phobia. Melissa strives to provide quality dental care that is tailored to her patients’ individual needs. She has also volunteered her time and dental services in Cambodia to helping underprivileged children through the non-profit Mlop Tapang organisation.
Dr. Lisa Li
Lisa grew up in Melbourne and graduated from the University of Melbourne with Honours. She has worked in both rural and metropolitan practices and gained a wide variety of experience in all aspects of dentistry. Through her exposure to communities with a higher amount of dental disease, Lisa is passionate about preventative dentistry. She places a high emphasis on patient education and teaching patients how they can help to maintain their teeth for life.
Lisa’s gentle and compassionate approach to her patients is able to place them at ease. The biggest reward she feels in dentistry is when she knows she can make a positive difference in patient’s attitudes towards their dental phobias. She is passionate about furthering her knowledge and is constantly keeping up to date with advancements in the field of dentistry. This allows her to provide patients with exceptional quality dental care.
Outside of work, Lisa loves to keep fit by going to the gym and practising Pilates. She is also a keen cook and enjoys experimenting in the kitchen. Lisa speaks both English and Mandarin.
