MEET DR MELISSA HUANG
You’ll be in great hands with Dr Melissa, who is a caring and gentle dentist, known for her meticulous treatment of our valued patients. Healthy teeth support a healthy body and Dr Melissa’s holistic approach to your dental care means your treatment is tailored to your individual needs.
Dr Melissa travels to the United States annually to advance her training at the Seattle Centre for Clinical Excellence and is committed to continuing her education in dental techniques and innovations. This means Whitehorse Dental patients are able to access the latest treatments.
A lifelong Eastern suburbs resident, Dr Melissa completed her dental degree at the University of Melbourne. She graduated with Honours and received the Tuckfield and Shepherd Prize for the highest achievement in Prosthodontics.
Outside of work, Dr Melissa is a self-confessed dog lover. She adores spending time with her puppy, Charlie Brown, at coffee spots around Melbourne.
Dr Melissa speaks both Mandarin and English.
Meet Dr Annie
If your ideal dentist experience is gentle and stress-free, then book in with Dr Annie. Dr Annie is a dedicated dentist who provides high-quality treatment in a patient and gentle manner.
She recognises that seeing the dentist can be daunting. For this reason, she works with patients to help them understand the existing situation of their oral health. Dr Annie enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, and in particular, she takes the time to discuss dental treatment options with the aim of achieving long-term oral health.
Dr Annie graduated with First Class Honours from the University of Adelaide, with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery and Bachelor of Dental Science in Dentistry. Previously practicing in a private dental clinic in the Barossa Valley, she now brings her wealth of experience to Whitehorse Dental in Blackburn.
Dr Annie regularly attends professional development courses and keeps up to date with all the latest techniques and treatment available.
Outside of work, Dr Annie loves gardening, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Dr Annie speaks English, Shanghainese and Mandarin.
Meet Dr Steven
Ask Dr Steven anything. One of his best skills is his ability to explain the most complex of dental problems in the easiest-to-understand way. After your visit with him, you can expect to leave with your mind full of helpful tips and a plan for a fantastic set of teeth.
Dr Steven is a dedicated dentist, treating patients with the utmost patience, care, and respect. He pursues high clinical standards and studies regularly with the aim of finding a tailored, long-lasting result for his all of his patients.
Born and raised in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs, Dr Steven ventured to warmer climates to study at the University of Queensland. Since completing his dental degree in 2015, graduating with First Class Honors, he has worked in rural health, providing essential dental services in regional Townsville, Ballarat, and Mildura.
In his spare time, Dr Steven enjoys music, good food and is always up for a run, hike or swim!
Meet Dr Alan
Dr Alan received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Melbourne. Prior to becoming part of the team at Whitehorse Dental, Dr Alan was practising rural dentistry, taking care of patients in Parkes, NSW. It was during this time that he developed a passion for surgery and periodontology (gum treatments).
Dr Alan loves what he does and strives to make his patients feel as comfortable as possible at every dental appointment. He believes in improving the quality of life for every patient he sees by tailoring treatments plans to suit their individual needs. Dr Alan practices all areas of general dentistry with a special interest in wisdom teeth surgery.
As he regularly attends professional development courses, Dr Alan is always up to date with all the latest and greatest in dental technology. This means that our patients at Whitehorse Dental benefit from having access to the most state of the art dental treatments.
Dr Alan’s most recent achievement was completing his Primary exams through the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. This is an extremely challenging exam that very few dentists undertake in order to achieve a deeper understanding of the science of dentistry.
In his spare time, you’ll find him playing basketball, tennis and enjoying a night in with friends or a good book! Dr Alan speaks English, Shanghainese and Mandarin.
